Not finding exactly what you’re looking for in the school or scout program pages? Maybe you’re hoping to bring an adult or special needs group? The Primrose farmers can create a custom program just for you! Let us know how many people you’re bringing, what your goals are for the trip, and what your budget is and we’ll put together a one-of-a-kind experience.

Most of our custom classes pull elements from our standard school, scout or Animal Adventure programs. Elements can include but are not limited to:

Animal Tour – 45 to 60 minutes

Meet the chickens, sheep, pigs, horses and cows that call Primrose home.

Chicken & Egg – 30 minutes

See, hear and touch the Columbian Wyandotte chickens and help gather farm fresh eggs straight from the nest.

Hands-On Milking – 30 to 45 minutes

Spend your morning cozying up with the Primrose cows! Meet our lovely ladies and discover what goes into dairying – the breeding, raising and milking of dairy animals. Then get up close and personal with one of our ‘fresh’ cows and try your hand at milking. Offered between 8:30am-10:00am only.

Feed the Animals – 30 to 45 minutes

Please feed the animals! It’s not often that you’ll hear this said to visitors at a farm. Get a unique behind the scenes opportunity to help care for the farm’s residents. Interact with the various livestock and discover how their specialized diets vary throughout the year.

Hold Your Horses – 30 minutes

Crazy about horses? Here’s your chance to mingle with some gentle giants – the Primrose Farm Belgian draft horses. Explore basic grooming techniques and learn about equine care practices of today and yesterday.

Kids Chores – Varies By Activity

Try your hand at cutting & stacking firewood, pumping water, scrubbing laundry, churning butter, baking biscuits or mixing feed.
